WebApr 10, 2024 · In the early 1990's, the F's were repainted into CSX YN2 "Bright Future" scheme and were used in Excursion and Business specials. The F-units were all retired in the mid-1990's and replaced by ex-Amtrak F40PH. The F40's are still in service today. CSX 116: 116 was built in 1948 for the Clinchfield Railroad as F3A 800.
