Strikingly, an increasing number of metabolic pathways including lipid metabolism can ultimately converge on ferroptosis [ 11 ]. WebWe used bioinformatic analysis and examined changes in lipid metabolism in HCC cells in response to matrix stiffness. Moreover, ACADL was identified as a key enzyme, initiating the FAO process, modulated by matrix stiffness. Lipid metabolic reprogramming influenced by matrix stiffness was interacted in an ACADL-dependent mechanoresponsive manner.
